Moru Kaachiyath

Ingredients for Moru Kaachiyath:

1. Buttermilk (not too sour) – 6 cups

    Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

    Curry leaves, Salt – As required

2. Coconut – 2 small spoons

    Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp

    Shallots – 3

    Cumin – A pinch

3. Coconut oil – 2 tsp

4. Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp

    Fenugreek – A pinch

    Dried red chilli – 2, cut into four

How to prepare Moru Kaachiyath?

1. Mix buttermilk, turmeric powder, curry leaves, and salt and set aside.

2. Grind the second set of ingredients to a smooth paste and add it to the buttermilk mixture, stirring well.

3. Place this on medium heat and stir continuously without letting it split.

4. Once heated well, remove from heat and stir continuously to let it cool slightly.

5. Heat 2 tsp coconut oil in a pan and temper with the fourth set of ingredients.

6. Once cooled, add the tempered mixture to the buttermilk and serve.
