Tomato Pickle

Ingredients for Tomato Pickle:

1. Tomato – 6

    Red chillies – 10

    Tamarind – gooseberry sized, juice extracted

2. Oil – As needed

3. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Fenugreek – 1 small spoon

    Asafoetida – 1 small piece

4. Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

    Salt – As required

How to prepare Tomato Pickle?

1. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 1.

2. Heat oil in a pan and fry each item listed under 3 separately.

3. Make a fine powder of above fried items.

4. Add a little more oil to the pan and add tomato paste.

5. Boil well and add turmeric powder, salt and powdered mixture.

6. When pickle is well cooked, oil separates from it.

7. Put off the flame and allow the contents to cool.

8. Your tomato pickle is ready to serve.
