Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri (Muringa Ila – Papaya Erisseri)

Ingredients for Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri (Muringa Ila – Papaya Erisseri):

1. Moringa leaves – 4 cups

2. Papaya cut into small pieces – 2 cups

3. Salt – For taste

    Sambar dal cooked – ¼ cup

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    For gravy:

4. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

    Red chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Garlic – 10 cloves

    For tempering:

5. Oil – 1 big spoon

6. Coconut scrapped – 1 big spoon

7. Mustard and black gram – ¼ small spoon each

8. Red chilli – 1

How to prepare Moringa Leaves – Papaya Erisseri (Muringa Ila – Papaya Erisseri)?

1. Cook moringa leaves, dal and papaya in pressure cooker adding turmeric powder, salt and water.

2. Blend once ingredients no: 4 in a mixer and add to cooked mixture.

3. Heat oil in frying pan and fry scrapped coconut. Keep it aside.

4. In the remaining oil, add mustard, black gram and red chilli.

5. Fry it and add to curry.

6. Decorate the curry with fried coconut.
