Fish Piralan

Ingredients for Fish Piralan:

1. Fish cut into pieces – 1 kg

2. Oil – ¼-1/2 cup

3. Fried coriander – 2 small spoons

    Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Fenugreek – ¼ small spoon

4. Onions sliced fine – 1.5 cups

5. Chilli powder – 1 big spoon

   Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

6. Tamarind juice – ¼ cup

    Salt – As required

7. Curry leaves – A little

How to prepare Fish Piralan?

1. Clean fish and cut into pieces.

2. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3.

3. When it sputters add onions and sauté it.

4. Soak ingredients no: 5 in a little water and add to sauted onions.

5. Reduce the flame and keep sauting in low flame.

6. When raw smells goes out and masala is well fried, add fish pieces.

7. Gently mix the contents and add salt tamarind juice and salt.

8. If needed add a little more water.

9. Close the lid and cook fish till water content is almost absorbed.

10. Add curry leaves and wait till cooked gravy fully covers fish pieces.
