Beetroot Tikki
Ingredients for Beetroot Tikki:
1. Potato – 2, medium sized
Beetroot – 2
3. Ginger chopped – 2 small spoons
Pepper – 2, chopped
Coriander powder – 2 small spoons
Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon
Chat masala – 2 small spoons
Fennel powder – 2 small spoons
Salt – As required
Bread – 4 slices
3. Semolina – 1 cup
4. Oil – For frying
How to prepare Beetroot Tikki?
1. Pressure cook potatoes and beetroots together.
2. Grate boiled potatoes and beetroots together in a bowl.
3. Add ingredients no: 2 and mix the contents well.
4. Make small balls from this mixture and prepare heart shapes using a cutter.
5. Spread semolina in a plate and place these tikkis on it.
6. Wrap the tikkis with a thin coat of semolina.
7. Heat oil in a pan and fry 3 or 4 tikkis as a batch.
8. Continue the process for remaining tikkis.
9. Tikkis should turn crispy and serve mint chutney as side dish for them.
