A few things to note while using mural clothes

Costumes with printed mural designs is a bit traditional to Malayalis. Saris are most popular, followed by Churidars. While choosing and using mural clothes, a few things are to be noted. Just note these simple things.

1. Colours used for mural painting are selected from fruit juices and flowers. Basic colours include – red, green, yellow, white and black, and they are mixed in suitable proportions for the art.

2. Apart from natural colours, fabric paints are also made use of for painting murals in costumes. Yet costumes using natural colours are elegant and look Royal.

3. Cloth woven using traditional methods by weavers are used for mural paintings. Yet stuff made of linen, pure silk, Kanchipuram, jute silk, art silk, crape silk and cotton silk can also be used for painting murals.

4. When the quality of cloth material increases, quality of mural work also increases.

5. Hand wash is best for mural dresses. Wash in cold water and dry in shades. Extra care should be given for cleaning mural costumes.

6. Never directly iron the areas where mural work is done. Instead flip once and iron on the other side.

7. Mural clothes are strictly traditional and hence antique and traditional ornaments are best. Traditional and terracotta perfectly match with for mural painted costumes.
