Yam Fry (Chena Varuthath)
Ingredients for Yam Fry (Chena Varuthath):
1. Yam cut into 2-inch square pieces and steam cooked – ¼ kg
2. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Shallots – 6
Garlic cloves, small type – 8
Ginger chopped – ½ tsp
Cumin – ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Salt – For taste
How to prepare Yam Fry (Chena Varuthath)?
1. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.
2. Marinate cooked yam pieces with this paste, and allow it to rest for a while.
3. Heat oil and fry the marinated yam pieces. Don’t over fry them.
