Vendakka Mapas (Okra Coconut Milk Curry)

Ingredients for Vendakka Mapas (Okra Coconut Milk Curry):

1. Okra – ¼ kg

    Onions – 1, big

    Oil – 3 small spoons

    Green chillies – 4

2. Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Coriander powder – 2 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

3. Salt – For taste

4. Coconut scrapped – ½ (extract milk)

5. Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

6. Oil – 3 small spoons

7. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Shallots – 2

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

How to prepare Vendakka Mapas (Okra Coconut Milk Curry)?

1. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 1. Keep it aside.

2. In the remaining oil, sauté ingredients no: 2.

3. Then add sauted ingredients no: 1 to it, and mix well.

4. Add salt, mix well and second extract of coconut milk.

5. Allow the contents to boil.

6. Add 1st extract coconut milk, garam masala and take off from flame. Stir your curry well.

7. Heat oil, sauté ingredients no: 7 and add to the curry.
