Vellarikka Pachadi for Kozhikode Sadya (Cucumber Pachadi)

Ingredients for Vellarikka Pachadi for Kozhikode Sadya (Cucumber Pachadi):

1. Green cucumber cut into fine pieces after removing skin – 1 cup

    Water – 2 cups

    Salt – As required

2. Coconut scrapped – ½ cup

    Curd – 1/2cup

    Green chillies – 4

3. Mustard – 1 small spoon powdered

4. Coconut oil – 2 small spoons

5. Mustard- 1 big spoon

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

    Red chillies – 4

How to prepare Vellarikka Pachadi for Kozhikode Sadya (Cucumber Pachadi):

1. Add water and salt to cucumber and cook it well.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.

3. Add this gravy to cooked cucumber.

4. Powder mustard and add to it. Take Pachadi from flame.

5. Temper ingredients no: 5 in oil and mix with the curry.
