Paneer – Pattani Masala (Paneer – Green Peas Masala)
Ingredients for Paneer – Pattani Masala (Paneer – Green Peas Masala):
1. Paneer – 300 gm
2. Green peas – 300 gm
3. Onions – 2
Green chillies – 2
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Garlic – 3 cloves
4. Oil – 3 big spoons
5. Red chilli powder – 2 small spoons
Coriander powder – 2 small spoons
Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon
Cardamom, cloves and cinnamon – 1 each
Cumin powder – ½ small spoon
6. Tomatoes – 3, lengthwise
7. Salt – As required
8. Coconut – 1/2, scrapped and made to a paste
9. Garam masala powder – ½ small spoon
Coriander leaves – To garnish
How to prepare Paneer – Pattani Masala (Paneer – Green Peas Masala)?
1. Cut paneer to small pieces.
2. Clean green peas.
3. Cut lengthwise ingredients no: 3.
4. Heat oil in pan and sauté the sliced ingredients.
5. When it turns brown, add ingredients no: 5 and saute again.
6. When the aroma changes, add tomatoes and sauté again.
7. When a thin layer of oil appears, add water and boil well.
8. When gravy thickens, add paneer, green peas and salt.
9. Add coconut paste and cook again.
10. When gravy thickens, add garam masala powder and coriander leaves.
11. Take off from flame.
