Palak Tofu
Ingredients for Palak Tofu:
1. Tofu – 250 gm
2. Palak spinach – 1 bundle
3. Oil – 2 big spoons
4. Cumin seeds- ½ small spoon
5. Onion – 1 big
Green chillies – 3
6. Ginger-garlic paste – 1 small spoon
7. Chilli powder – ½ small spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
8. Salt – As required
Garam masala powder – ¼ small spoon
Fresh cream – 4 big spoons
How to prepare Palak Tofu?
1. Cut tofu to small square pieces and fry in hot oil.
2. Drain off excess oil.
3. Remove the stem of palak and cook it adding a little water.
4. When it is cooled, make a fine paste of it.
5. Make of fine paste of onions and green chillies and keep it separate.
6. Heat oil in a pan and sauté cumin seeds.
7. Add onions-green chillies paste to it and sauté well.
8. When it turns light brown, sauté again adding ginger-garlic paste.
9. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and sauté well.
10. Add palak paste to it, along with salt and garam masala powder.
11. Mix well the contents and allow it to boil.
12. Add fried tofu and fresh cream, mix well and put the flame off.
13. Serve hot with chappatti.
