Paal Pathiri (Milk Pathiri)

Ingredients for Paal Pathiri (Milk Pathiri):

1. Rice powder – 2 cups

2. Coconut milk – As required

    Salt – As required

3. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

4. Ghee – A little

5. Banana leaves – As required

How to prepare Paal Pathiri (Milk Pathiri)?

1. Add coconut milk and salt to rice flour.

2. Knead the dough for normal pathiri.

3. Add scrapped coconut to it and mix it well.

4. Now make small balls out of it.

5. Now tore small pieces of banana leaf and spread each ball by placing inside it.

6. Pathiris should be very thin.

7. Heat a pan and place pathiris upside down (pathiri should come in contact with pan).

8. Simmer the flame and pour ghee on 4 sides.

9. When the pathiri turns hot, leaf changes its colour.

10. Then remove the leaf and flip pathiri once.

11.Pour a little ghee on this side as well.

12.Flip and fry both sides.

Note: While adding scrapped coconut to dough, the batter turns loose a little bit. So, while adding coconut milk to flour, keep this fact in mind.
