Horse Gram Curd Curry (Muthira Thayir Kuzhamb)
Ingredients for Horse Gram Curd Curry (Muthira Thayir Kuzhamb):
1. Horse gram – 50 gm
2. Coconut – ½, scrapped
Red chillies – 4
Cumin seeds – ¾ small spoon
3. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons
4. Red chillies – 1, broken
Mustard – ½ small spoon
Fenugreek – ¾ small spoon
5. Sour curd – 1.25 cup
6. Turmeric powder – As needed
Salt – For taste
7. Raw rice flour (Pachari) – 1 big spoon
8. Curry leaves – 2 stems
How to prepare Horse Gram Curd Curry (Muthira Thayir Kuzhamb)?
1. Wash horse gram and cook it adding sufficient water.
2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.
3. Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry ingredients no: 4.
4. Add curd, followed by turmeric powder and salt, and boil the contents.
5. Add a little water to rice flour and add to boiling curd.
6. Add coconut paste and cooked horse gram too, along with it.
7. Boil the contents, add curry leaves and put off the flame.
