Green Papaya – Dal Curry (Pacha Papaya Paripp Curry)
Ingredients for Green Papaya – Dal Curry (Pacha Papaya Paripp Curry):
1. Green papaya – 1, cut to small pieces
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Toor daal (pigeon pea) – ¼ cup
Salt – For taste
Water – 2 cups
2. Coconut scrapped – ½ cup
Cumin seeds – 1 pinch
Green chillies – 5
Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon
Shallots – 2
3. Oil – 3 small spoons
4. Mustard – 1 small spoon
Shallots chopped to thin round pieces – ½ small spoon
Curry leaves – A little
How to prepare Green Papaya – Dal Curry (Pacha Papaya Paripp Curry)?
1. Cook ingredients no: 1 in a pressure cooker and smash well.
2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.
3. Heat pan and sauté this gravy.
4. Add cooked papaya pieces to it.
5. Add sufficient salt and water and allow the contents to boil.
6. Put the flame off.
7. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 4. Pour this mixture to your papaya curry.
