Gobi Mattar
Ingredients for Gobi Mattar:
1. Oil – 3 big spoons
2. Onion – 1, chopped
Garlic – 1 clove, crushed
Ginger chopped – 2 small spoon
Green chillies – 1, finely chopped
3. Cumin powder – 1 small spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Fennel powder – ¼ small spoon
Cardamom powder – ¼ small spoon
4. Tomato paste – 1 big spoon
5. Cauliflower – 1 small, florets separated
Vegetable stock – 2 cups
Tomato finely chopped – 1.5 cups
Coconut milk – 1st extract 1 cup
6. Brown peas (Vanpayar) cooked – ½ cup
Green peas cooked – 1 cup
7. Salt – As needed
8. Coriander leaves chopped – ½ cup
How to prepare Gobi Mattar?
1. Heat oil and sauté ingredients listed as no: 2.
2. When onions turn soft, add ingredients no: 3 and sauté again.
3. Finally add tomato paste and sauté for 2 more minutes.
4. Add ingredients no: 5 and boil well.
5. Bring to low flame and cook the contents.
6. When cauliflower is well cooked, add cooked brown peas and green peas and mix well.
7. When your curry is well heated, add enough salt and put the flame off.
8. Mix the contents well and decorate with coriander leaves.
