Chammanthi Podi
Ingredients -1
- Black gram (after black skin removed) (Uzhunnu paripp) – 100 gm
- Coriander – 50 gm
- Chillies – 50 gm
- Horse gram (muthira) – 25 gm
- Asafetida – 10 gm
- Curry leaves – 2 stem
Ingredients – 2
- Coconut scrapped – 2
- Tamarind – 50 gm
- Jaggery – 50 gm
- Salt – as needed
How to prepare Chammanthipodi
- Fry all ingredients together grouped under category 1. Then grind it without adding water.
- Fry coconut without adding oil.
- Crush all the ingredients together using a stone ural. Avoid mixer to get a traditional taste. Also read Mulakapodi recipe.
