Uzhunnu Chammathi (Black Gram Chutney)
Ingredients for Uzhunnu Chammathi (Black Gram Chutney):
1. Oil – 3 big spoons
2. Black gram – 2 big spoons
Coconut scrapped – 2 big spoons
Red chillies – 5
Garlic – 20 cloves
Curry leaves – 1 stalk
3. Jaggery scrapped – 1 small spoon
Tamarind – A small gooseberry sized
Salt – As required
4. Black gram – ½ small spoon
Red chillies – 2, split into two
Mustard – 1 small spoon
Curry leaves – 5 leaflets
How to prepare Uzhunnu Chammathi (Black Gram Chutney)?
1. Heat 2 big spoons of oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 2.
2. Take off the flame and allow to cool.
3. Make a fine paste adding ingredients no: 3.
4. Heat the remaining oil and sauté ingredients no: 4.
5. Season your black gram chutney with this oil.
