Tender Jack Fruit 65 (Idichakka 65)
Ingredients for Tender Jack Fruit 65 (Idichakka 65):
1. Tender Jack fruit (Idichakka) – 3 cups, half-cooked and partially crushed
2. Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 spoons
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Garlic – 10 cloves
Fennel seeds – 1 spoon
Chicken masala – 1 table spoon
Garam masala – 1 spoon
Cornflour powder – 1 cup
3. Lemon juice – 1 spoon
4. Curry leaves, salt and coconut oil – As required
How to prepare Tender Jack Fruit 65 (Idichakka 65)?
1. Cook tender jackfruit and smash it adding salt when it cools.
2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 and add lemon juice to it.
3. Add extra salt if required.
4. Make cutlet shapes from tender jackfruit mixture, and dip each one in masala paste.
5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry each cutlet.
6. Occasionally add curry leaves to hot oil to get pleasant aroma.
