Tart
Ingredients for Tart:
1. Maida – 200 gm
Salt – A pinch
2. Cold butter (Amul) – 100 gm
3. Eggs – 1, beaten
For filling:
4. Butter – As required
5. Onions chopped – ¼ cup
Green chillies chopped fine – 1 small spoon
Ginger chopped fine – 1 small spoon
6. Mushrooms chopped fine – 1 cup
7. Maida – ½ big spoon
8. Milk – ½ cup
9. Salt – For taste
Pepper powder – ½ small spoon
How to prepare Tart?
1. Pre-heat oven in 180 degree celsious.
2. Blend maida adding salt and transfer to a bowl.
3. Cut butter to small cubes and add to maida.
4. Using hands, mix the ingredients slowly.
5. Keep kneading the flour till it gets moist similar to prepared puttu powder.
6. Make a pit in the centre and add beaten egg.
7. Mix it with the maida mixture, and then prepare small balls.
8. Spread each ball to round shapes similar to chapati in ¼ inch thickness.
9. Using a tart cutter, cut them to tarts and transfer them to tart trays.
10. Bake the tarts in pre-heated oven for 12-15 minutes.
11. You can use any filling of your choice – jam or chilli/spicy and serve.
12. To prepare mushroom filling, melt butter and sauté ingredients no: 5.
13. Add mushrooms and sauté well.
14. When water content is fully absorbed, add maida and mix well.
15. Add milk and stir continuously.
16. When it turns thick, add salt and pepper and take off from flame.
