Swasti Mehul – Bollywood playback singer best known for ‘Naah Goriye’ song of Bala

Swasti Mehul is an Indian singer and music producer associated with independent music and playback singing. Apart from film music she is associated with folk, Hindustani, bhajans, traditional hymns, Panjabi pop music and Sufi. As a playback singer she shot to fame with ‘Naah Goriye’ song of 2019 Bala. She sang this song composed by Jaani and B Praak aside Harrdy Sandhu.

Swasti Mehul was born on 12 October 1995. Her singing talent was first spotted by Jaani (songwriter) through Instagram. Thus she collaborated with Jaani and B Praak for her first ever Bollywood song in 2019. The song ‘Naah Goriye’ from the movie Bala was well received, and she got recognition. The song was penned by Jaani. Her vocal tone and distinct singing style have won the hearts of music lovers as well as celebrities. Currently she is working on her first independent project, for which she writes songs too.

She started her formal learning in Hindustani music from Meeta Pandit of Gwalior Gharana. Later she performed aside her guru in AIR and a few musical concerts. She trained music from Gaurav Dayal too. She currently learns Hindustani music from Chhannulal Mishra of Kirana gharana.
