Surbhi Chandna – Hindi television actress of ‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ fame

Surbhi Chandna is a popular face of Hindi small screen. Her roles as Haya in Qubool Hai and Anika Trivedi in Ishqbaaaz made her a household name among television audiences. She played lead role opposite Nakuul Mehta in Ishqbaaaz. She has also done cameo roles in a few popular shows, apart from doing episodic roles. She played the characters of Aamna Khan and Aditi in Vidya Balan starrer Bollywood film, Bobby Jasoos.

Surbhi Chandna is of Delhi origin, but brought up in Mumbai. She belongs to a Punjabi family with non-acting background. Yet she was inclined towards acting since young and started attending theatre workshops. She completed MBA and worked in corporate sector for a while before she decided to choose her true passion – acting. She was first seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2009, followed by Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi before she received breakthrough role through Qubool Hai. She had a 2-year journey as Anika in Ishqbaaaz. She was also seen in Dil Boley Oberoi in 2017.

Her lead role in Ishqbaaaz gave her numerous awards and nominations at different television award functions. The role gave her Asian Viewers Television Awards for Female Actor of the Year in 2017 and 2018, and she was nominated for the same in 2016. She also bagged Best Actress (Popular) at Indian Television Academy Awards in 2018, and was nominated for the same in 2017 and 2019. She won Best Actress (Jury) at Lions Gold Awards in 2019 too. Her screen chemistry with Nakuul Mehta has also won many nominations since 2016 and they were awarded at Gold awards in 2017.
