Sukriti Kakar – The female vocalist of ‘Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull’

Prakriti Kakar is a successful playback singer associated with Bollywood. Her twin sister Prakriti Kakar and elder sister Akriti Kakkar are also playback singers of Bollywood, and their names are often confused with two Bollywood playback singers with same surname, the siblings – Neha Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. Akriti Kakar, who is 9 years older to her twin sisters often play the role of a protective mother. Sukriti is best known for the party anthem, ‘Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull,’ from Kapoor & Sons released in 2016. In 2013 she sang two songs with her twin sister marking her debut in playback singing – Title track of Boss and Goti Song of Nasha.

Sukriti Kakkar was born in New Delhi in 1995. She belonged to a family with music background. Her paternal grandfather was from Peshawar, Pakistan. She got initial lessons from her mother, a music teacher who worked at a school in Delhi. Following her elder sister’s footsteps, she along with her twin sister was determined to join playback singing. The family shifted to Mumbai in 2004 as her elder sister wanted to pursue a career in Bollywood. She completed her school studies at Mumbai. The twin sisters were surprised with the cultural differences of two major cities. In 2013 she got her first break to Bollywood, and after a few initial struggles she got a major break through one of the biggest chartbusters of 2016 – ‘Ladki Beautiful’. The song was filmed on Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
