Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients for Stuffed Cabbage Rolls:
1. Oil – As needed
2. Onions chopped fine – 1 small spoon
Garlic chopped fine – 1 small spoon
3. Carrot chopped fine – 2 big spoons
Beans chopped fine – 2 big spoons
Celery chopped fine – 1 small spoon
Cabbage chopped fine – 3 big spoons
4. Basmati rice cooked – 1 cup
Tomato ketchup – 1 big spoon
5. Cabbage leaves – 10
For sauce:
6. Oil – 1 big spoon
7. Onions chopped fine – 1 small spoon
Garlic chopped fine – 1 small spoon
8. Tomato puree – 2 cups
9. Salt and pepper – As needed
10. Cheese grated – To decorate
How to prepare Stuffed Cabbage Rolls?
1. Dip cabbage leaves in boiling water for a few seconds and immerse in cold water. Completely remove moisture.
2. Heat oil and sauté onions and garlic.
3. After 1 minute, add vegetables and cook in low flame.
4. When it’s done, add salt and pepper and put off the flame.
5. Add rice and ketchup to vegetables. This is the filling.
6. Take a cabbage leaf and place a little filling inside it.
7. Roll the leaf and wrap the filling completely.
8. Continue the process of remaining leaves and filling, and place all of them in a plate.
9. To prepare sauce, heat oil first and sauté onions and garlic.
10. When onions turn brown, add tomato puree, salt and pepper powder.
11. Continue cooking till sauce thickens.
12. When it’s done, pour on the top of cabbage rolls.
13. Decorate them with cheese and serve.
