Spectacular Visuals of Thrissur Pooram

Thrissur Pooram is one of the major temple celebrations of Kerala. A feast for eyes, decorated elephants representing Paramekkavu Bhagavathi temple and Thiruvambady Krishna temple will stand in two rows facing each other at Thekkumkadu Maidan in front of Lord Vadakkumnathan. Kudamattom – display of colourful umbrellas is one of the major highlights. Though the whole event surrounds around Vadakkumnathan, the temple doesn’t participate in any event.

Decorated temples, Caparisoned Elephant, Chamaya Pradarshanam, Fireworks and Kudamaatam are the major events associated with Thrissur Pooram, the biggest and the most famous temple festival of Kerala.
