Special Fish Curry

Ingredients for Special Fish Curry:

1. Fish – ½ kg

2. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup

    Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

    Chilli powder – ½ small spoon

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

3. Oil – 2 big spoons

4. Shallots chopped – 200 gm

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

5. Lemon juice – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Special Fish Curry?

1. Cut fish into medium sized pieces.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 adding oil.

3. Heat oil and sauté shallots and curry leaves.

4. Add gravy along with half cup water and allow the contents to boil well.

5. Stir occasionally.

6. When gravy is well cooked, add fish pieces.

7. Add lemon juice also, and cook fish.

8. Serve hot.

Special Fish Curry (Recipe 2)

Ingredients for Special Fish Curry (Recipe 2):

1. Fish – 1 kg

2. Coconut – 2

3. Chilli powder – 50 gm

4. Coriander powder – 50 gm

5. Green chillies – 10

6. Ginger – 50 gm

7. Pot tamarind – 5

8. Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

9. Shallots – 100 gm, chopped into tiny parts for frying

10. Mustard – 1 small spoon

11. Red chillies – 10

12 .Coconut oil – 150 gm

13. Salt – For taste

14. Curry leaves – 3 stalks

How to prepare Special Fish Curry (Recipe 2)?

1. Clean fish and cut into small pieces.

2. Grind coconut in a mixer and extract milk.

3. Heat oil in an earthen pot and add mustard seeds.

4. Add red chillies, followed by shallots and fry it till it turns red.

5. Add ginger and green chillies and sauté again.

6. Add coriander and chilli powders, mix well and add coconut milk.

7. When it boils, add salt and fish pieces.

8. When it’s almost done, add squeezed pot tamarind juice and turmeric powder.

9. Cook till gravy thickens a little more.

10. Add curry leaves, gently rotate the pot and put off the flame.
