Sesme Fish (Sesame Fish)

Ingredients for Sesme Fish (Sesame Fish):

1. Oil – ¼ cup

2. Onions sliced thin – 1 cup

3. Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

4. Ginger sliced lengthwise – 2 small spoons

    Garlic – 12 cloves

    Green chillies – 4, split into two

5. Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Pepper powder – 1 small spoon

    Mustard – A pinch

    Garlic – 10 cloves

    Ginger – 1 small piece

6. Tomato chopped – ½ cup

7. Water – 2 cups

8. Fish – 1 kg, cut into small pieces

9. Pot tamarind squeezed thick – 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves – As required

    Salt – As needed

10. Sesame seeds – 2 small spoons fried

How to prepare Sesme Fish (Sesame Fish)?

1. Make a paste of ingredients no: 5.

2. Heat oil and sauté onions.

3. Add turmeric powder and fry again.

4. Add ingredients no: 4, fry and remove from oil.

5. Strain remaining oil and add a little more oil to it. Adjust it to ¼ cup oil.

6. When the oil heats, add the ground paste (ingredients no: 5) and reduce the flame.

7. Saute the paste well till raw smell goes out and a thin layer of oil appears on the surface.

8. Add 2 cups of water to it and stir well.

9. When water boils add fish pieces.

10. Add ingredients no: 9, and add cook the fish.

11. When gravy thickens add sauted onions and other fried ingredients.

12. Cook for a few more minutes and sprinkle sesame seeds.

13. You can decorate this fish dish using steam cooked vegetables of your choice.
