Semiya Pulao

Ingredients for Semiya Pulao:

1. Oil – 3 big spoons

2. Onions chopped – ¼ cup

    Green chillies chopped – 1 big spoon

    Ginger chopped fine – ½ big spoon

3. Tomato chopped fine – ¼ cup

4. Water – 1.5 cups

   Salt – As required

5. Roasted semiya – 1 cup

6. Grated carrot – 1/2 cup

    Coconut scrapped – ¼ cup

7. Coriander chopped – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Semiya Pulao?

1. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté onions, ginger and green chillies.

2. Before it turns red colour, add tomatoes and sauté again.

3. Add water and salt and close the pan with a lid.

4. When water starts boiling, add semiya, mix well and close the lid again.

5. After 5 minutes, add carrot, coconut and coriander leaves.

6. Mix well and take off from flame. Serve hot.
