Sahithi – Tollywood playback singer

Sahithi is a popular playback singer associated with Telugu cinema. She has also recorded songs for independent albums. She was the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Voice of Youth by Zee Telugu in 2008, which brought her to limelight for the first time. In 2011 she participated in Sony TV’s popular reality show, X Factor India – Season 1, and was one of the 12 finalists. Soon after winning Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Voice of Youth in 2008, she started her career as a playback singer, and has completed one decade in the field of singing.

Sahithi Galidevara hails from Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, and she was born in 1987. Her passion towards music prompted her to choose music as her profession. After winning Telugu version of singing talent hunt show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Voice of Youth by Zee Telugu in 2008, she started receiving offers from films. Jabba Kotti from Pardhu, Mummy Daddyfrom Ek Police and O Xanamaina Chaalu – Siddu from Srikakulam are some of her early songs. Her song Nene Nani ne from Eega got noticed. Later she sang for Kamina, Ongole Gitta, Biscuit, Doosukeltha, Bhagmathie, Green Signal, Lie, Kotha Janta etc.

Sahithi – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. She holds an engineering degree, and was an IT professional at Infosys before she quit her job to pursue music.

2. Soon after her elimination from the show, X Factor India – Season 1, she blamed voting system for being eliminated from the show. She received second lowest votes among 12 contestants, and she felt that it happened only because she is a south Indian.

3. She has sung for albums – Plz Vinaddu and Jayaghosha.
