Pudina Chutney (Mint Chutney)

 

Ingredients for Pudina Chutney:

1. Pudina leaves – 1 bunch
2. Red chillies – 4 or 5 (as needed)
3. Shallots – 5 or 6
4. Cooking oil – To fry
5. Urud Daal – A little
6. Salt – As per taste
7. Tamarind – A little
8. Scrapped coconut – 1.5 cup


How to prepare Pudina Chutney?

1. Heat oil, fry red chillies till it changes colour and keep aside. Fry Urud daal (black gram) and shallots also.
2. Fry mint leaves (after removing its stalk). Take leaves only.
3. Grind in a mixer, all the items. Need not be grind to a fine paste. Pudina Chutney is best with dosa and idli.
