Priyanka Arul Mohan – South Indian film actress best known for her debut Telugu movie, Gang Leader

Priyanka Arul Mohan is a budding actress of south Indian cinema, who made a promising debut in year 2019. She marked her screen debut with Kannada movie, Ondh Kathe Hella in 2019. She marked Telugu debut through Gang Leader, playing lead role of Priya opposite Nani in this action comedy film. She has earlier appeared in one less-known Tamil movie titled The Mayan, released in 2019. She is a model turned actress, who is keen to work in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films.

Kannada movie, Ondh Kathe Hella marked her screen debut

Priyanka Arul Mohan hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She was born on 16 June 1999, as the single girl child to her parents. Her father is a Tamilian and mother is a Kannadigan. She started her career as a model, which opened her doors to cine world. In 2019 she marked her screen debut through Kannada movie, Ondh Kathe Hella, a horror anthology with 5 characters. It’s about a road trip of a group of 5 friends, and they narrate horror stories one after other.

Gang Leader gave her an early break

She marked Telugu debut through Gang Leader in a lead role. Though the movie opened to mixed reviews from critics, Priyanka’s lead role got noticed, and she has a promising career ahead. Before the film release, she signed her second film, Sreekaram opposite Sharwanand.

She is keen on working different language south Indian projects

She marks her debut in Tamil cinema in a lead role opposite Sivakarthikeyan in year 2020. The movie titled ‘Doctor’ is helmed by director Nelson of Kolamavu Kokila fame. Sivakarthikeyan happened to read one of the interviews she gave for a Tamil magazine, and got impressed. As the filmmakers were in search of a heroine who can fluently speak Tamil, they zeroed Priyanka Arul Mohan for the lead role.

1. She did her early education in Chennai. After her father got posted in Bangalore the family moved to new city, where she is continuing her higher studies.

2. She started modelling during her academic years, and has decided to turn a full-fledged actress after completing studies.

3. She was doing her graduation when she got her first break to films. She has endorsed a few brands, as a model.

4. Music, dancing and watching television are her hobbies.

5. She had a brief stint with theatre, and has done a couple of plays during her academic years in Bangalore. She also wants to try an alternate career in theatre.

6. She is well versed in Tamil and Kannada languages, as her parents belong to 2 different south Indian states.
