Peanut Chutney

Ingredients for Peanut Chutney:

1. Groundnut – 1 cup

2. Red chillies – 4

   Ginger chopped – 1 piece

   Garlic – 6 cloves

   Onions chopped – ¼ cup

3. Tamarind – A little

4. Oil – 1 tablespoon

5. Salt – As required

For tempering:

6. Oil – 2 tablespoons

7. Mustard – 1 tsp

   Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

   Asafoetida powder – 1/4tsp

   Black gram dal – 1 tsp

   Curry leaves – 10 nos.

How to prepare Peanut Chutney?

1. Heat oil in a pan and fry groundnut till light brown colour.

2. Transfer it to a plate.

3. In the remaining oil, sauté ingredients no: 2 for 3 minutes.

4. Transfer them to the plate as well, and allow them to cool.

5. Blend well in a mixer, adding tamarind, salt and a little water.

6. Heat oil in a pan and temper mustard, cumin and asafoetida powder.

7. Finally add urud dal and fry till brown colour.

8. Add curry leaves too, and pour this oil into your peanut chutney.
