Onion Fried Chicken Curry (Savala Varutharacha Kozhi Curry)
Ingredients for Onion Fried Chicken Curry (Savala Varutharacha Kozhi Curry):
1. Chicken – 1
2. Oil – As required
3. Onion – 2, sliced thin
4. Shallots chopped – ½ cup
Garlic – 4 cloves
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon
Chilli powder – 3 small spoons
Coriander powder – 3 small spoons
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
Green chillies – 2
Cinnamon – 1 piece
Salt – For taste
5. Corainder leaves – To decorate
How to prepare Onion Fried Chicken Curry (Savala Varutharacha Kozhi Curry)?
1. Clean chicken and cut into small pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions.
3. When it turns golden colour, divide it into two equal portions.
4. Keep one part aside and grind the second part along with ingredients no: 4.
5. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onion gravy.
6. When a pleasant aroma comes out, add the remaining portion of fried onion and chicken.
7. Also add sufficient water and cook it well.
8. When contents turn thick, decorate with coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
