Oats Cake
Ingredients for Oats Cake:
1. Quick cooking oats – 1 cup
2. Boiling water – 1.5 cups
3. Butter – ½ cup
Brown sugar – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
4. Eggs – 2
5. Vanilla essence – 1 small spoon
6. Maida – 1.5 cups
Salt – A pinch
Baking powder – 1 small spoon
Baking soda – A pinch
7. Cinnamon powder – ½ small spoon
Cashews chopped fine – ½ cup
8. Milk – A little
9. Butter melted – 6 small spoons
Milk – ¼ cup
Sugar – ½ cup
10. Coconut scrapped – 1 cup
Cashews chopped fine – ½ cup
How to prepare Oats Cake?
1. Put oats in boiling water and keep aside for 20 minutes (with flame off) to cook it well.
2. Allow the contents to cool.
3. Mix together ingredients no: 3, and add beaten eggs. Mix again.
4. Add vanilla essence, oats and blended ingredients no: 6 to it to prepare cake mixture.
5. Add ingredients no: 7, and add a little milk if needed.
6. Grease a mould or muffin cup and pour this batter to it.
7. Pre-heat oven in 350 degree Fahrenheit, and bake the cake for 30-35 minutes.
8. To prepare the topping, mix all ingredients listed as 9 in a thick bottomed pan.
9. Heat it well and stir continuously.
10. Add ingredients no: 10 and keep stirring till the mixture starts sticking to the spoon.
11. Remove the cake from cake mould and pour the topping as a layer.
12. The topping should be hot while pouring it.
13. Once the cake gets cooled, cut into desired pieces and serve.
14. You can also decorate the cake using banana chops and honey.
