Naan

Ingredients for Naan:

1. Wheat powder – 2 cups

    Maida – 1 cup

    Baking powder – 1.5 spoons

    Baking soda – ¼ small spoon

    Salt – ½ small spoon

2. Water – ¾ cup

    Milk – 2 big spoons

    Curd – 3 big spoons

3. Sugar – 2 small spoons

4. Oil – 3 big spoons

5. Garlic finely chopped – 1 big spoon

    Coriander leaf finely chopped – 1 big spoon

6. Ghee – As needed

How to prepare Naan?

1. Blend well ingredients no: 1.

2. Mix together ingredients no: 2 in a separate bowl and then add 2 small spoons of sugar.

3. Make a pit in the centre and add blended ingredients no: 1 little by little.

4. Mix well to prepare soft dough.

5. Cover the dough using a wet cloth for 10 minutes.

6. Add oil and mix again.

7. Allow the dough to rest for 2 hours. Cover it with a wet cloth.

8. After 2 hours the dough rises up. Make medium sized balls out of it.

9. Spread each ball into round pieces similar to chappatti’s.

10. Then stretch one side and make it ‘tear drop’ shaped.

11. Spread chopped garlic and coriander on the top of each Nan and press once using palm.

12. Heat a tawa and half-cook both sides.

13. Then place it above direct flame to cook both sides.

14. When brown spots appear on nan, take it off from flame.

15. You can also bake in oven by placing them in baking tray instead of showing in flame.

16. Serve it hot with curry.

Naan (Recipe 2)

Ingredients for Naan (Recipe 2):

1. Maida – 1.5 cups

2. Egg – 1

3. Curd – A little

4. Salt – For taste

5. Sugar – 1 big spoon

6. Oil – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Naan (Recipe 2)?

1. Mix all ingredients together, knead it and prepare dough.

2. Allow it to rest for a while.

3. Knead the dough again and make small balls.

4. Spread them to thin round rotis.

5. You can fry in hot oil or cook in normal tawa by adding oil on both sides.

Naan (Recipe 3)

Ingredients for Naan (Recipe 3):

1. Maida – 250 gm

    Sugar powdered – 2 small spoons

    Salt – ½ small spoon

    Baking powder – ½ small spoon

2. Milk – ¼ cup

    Oil – 2 big spoons

3. Garlic chopped fine – 1 big spoon

    Coriander leaves chopped fine – 1 big spoon

4. Ghee melted – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Naan (Recipe 3)?

1. Mix ingredients no: 1, and transfer to a big basin.

2. Mix oil and milk together, make a pit at the centre portion of flour and pour into it.

3. Gently mix from inner side of pit to outside, till whole flour is done.

4. Knead for 8-10 minutes and prepare soft dough for naan.

5. If dough turns sticky, add a little more all-purpose flour.

6. Grease a ball and transfer the dough to it.

7. Wrap it with a wet cloth and allow to rest in a hot place.

8. Dough will increase double in size.

9. Beat the dough, press it and make 5 equal-sized balls.

10. Pre-heat oven in 200 degree Celsius.

11. Place baking sheets inside oven.

12. Spread the balls into round, rectangle, tear drop or desired shape.

13. Make marks using fork here and there.

14. Spread chopped garlic and coriander leaves on the top of each naan and gently press.

15. Grill each naan in oven for 2-5 minutes till brown spots appear on its surface.

16. Spread a little ghee on its top & serve hot.

Naan (Recipe 4)

Ingredients for Naan (Recipe 4):

1. Maida – 1 kg

2. Egg – 2

3. Curd – 150 gm

4. Salt – For taste

5. Sugar – 2 tablespoons

6. Oil – 2 tablespoons

How to prepare Naan (Recipe 4)?

1. Sieve maida through a siever. 

2. Mix with all ingredients and allow it to rest for some time.

3. Again knead the flour and make 8 equal sized balls.

4. Take each ball in palm and flatten it to get round shape.

5. Heat a tawa and cook your naan.

6. Flip both sides, and add a little oil or butter if needed.
