Mullu Murukk

Ingredients for Mullu Murukk:

1. Maida – ½ kg
2. Water – 2.5 to 3 cups
    Salt – As needed
    Asafetida powder – 3 small spoons
3. Black sesame – 2 small spoons
    Ghee – 2 big spoons
4. Oil – For deep frying

How to prepare Mullu Murukk?

  1. Bundle maida into a thin cloth and steam cook for 25 minutes.
  2. Before it cools off, break its clots completely and mix well.
  3. Mix ingredients no: 3 and boil well. Add maida powder to it, mix well without any clots and put the flame off.
  4. Mix well to prepare the dough for murukk.
  5. Use murukk maker (found in sevanazhi of Idiyappam maker) to squeeze small murukks to boiling oil.
  6. Fry both sides and serve hot.
