Mulakaapodi
Ingredients for Mulakaapodi:
1. Coconut oil – 1 small spoon
2. Black gram – 1 glass
Bengal gram – ¼ glass
3. Red chillies – 20
4. Asafetida – ¾ small spoon
Salt – For taste
How to prepare Mulakaapodi?
1. Fry black gram and Bengal gram in oil.
2. When it turns red, remove from pan.
3. In the same pan, add red chillies and fry well.
4. Put off the flame and add asafoetida, daals and salt.
5. Mix all ingredients together. Allow it to cool.
6. Blend your Mulakaapodi in a mixer. You need not grind it to a fine powder.
7. Mulakaapodi is a good combo for dosa, idli, ada etc. Add a little coconut oil or ghee, and mix well.
