Misha Ghoshal – Tamil film actress best known for her roles in ‘7aum Arivu’ and ‘Raja Rani’

Misha Ghoshal is a south Indian actress, who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. She is best known for her supporting roles in A. R. Murugadoss’s 7aum Arivu and Atlee’s Raja Rani. Tamil-Telugu bilingual 180 /Nootrenbadhu in 2011 marked her screen debut. Her role as Nisha, Shruti Haasan’s friend in 7aum Arivu released the same year gave her initial recognition. Raja Rani, Mersal, Vanakkam Chennai, Visaranai, Kuttram 23, Lens etc are a few more noted roles. She was associated with theatre before joining films.

Misha Ghoshal was born in Lucknow in 1989. She was a tomboy during childhood, who never thought about a career in acting. In fact when she received early films in lead roles, she was reluctant to accept them. She was not serious about acting those days. But later she got into modeling, did a few live dance shows, and also did TV soaps before taking big screen roles. She was also a theatre artist before joining films, and did a few uncredited roles in the early phase of her film journey. Nootrenbadhu in 2011 was her debut work, where she played a Muslim girl, and most of her scenes were edited out. As an actress, she gain recognition through 7aum Arivu. Since then she has done more than 20 films.

Misha Ghoshal – Some interesting and less-known facts

1. She was first seen on big screen in an uncredited role in Naan Mahaan Alla.

2. She played heroine’s friend’s role in many movies such as Vadacurry, Naan Mahaan Alla, 180 etc.

3. Initially she rejected many good lead roles as she was not serious about it, and didn’t want to portray too much melodrama roles.
