Minced Meat Idiyappam
Ingredients for Minced Meat Idiyappam:
1. Garlic – 4 cloves
Ginger – 1 small piece
Pepper – ½ small spoon
Coriander powder – 1 small spoon
Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
Meat masala powder – 1/2 small spoon
2. Cooking oil – 2 big spoons
3. Onions – 1, chopped fine
4. Minced meat – 250 gm
Coconut milk – 2 cups
Vinegar – ½ big spoon
Salt – For taste
5. Rice flour – 2 cups
Salt – For taste
How to prepare Minced Meat Idiyappam?
1. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 1.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and sauté onions.
3. Add the masala paste and sauté again.
4. Add ingredients no: 4, close the lid and pressure cook the contents.
5. Once the pressure dips to zero, transfer the contents to a pan.
6. Keep boiling till water content is fully absorbed and the gravy turns dry.
7. Add salt and water to rice flour and prepare flour for idiyappam.
8. Like normal idiyappam, prepare it using an idli-maker.
9. Place a little meat mixture on the top or middle portion of each idiyappam.
10. Steam cook till it’s done.
