Milk Kesari
Ingredients for Milk Kesari:
1. Semolina – ½ cup
2. Sugar – ½ cup
3. Milk – ¾ cup
4. Water – ½ cup
5. Ghee – 3 tablespoons
6. Saffron – A pinch
7. Cardamom powder – As required
How to prepare Milk Kesari?
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a thick bottomed pan.
2. Add semolina to it and fry it slowly.
3. Remove semolina from the pan and add milk, water, sugar, saffron and cardamom powder.
4. Allow the contents to boil and stir it occasionally.
5. Reduce the flame and add semolina slowly to it.
6. Keep stirring to avoid the formation of lumps.
7. Close the lid and cook for a few more minutes till it is done.
8. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee to it and mix it well.
9. Put off the flame and transfer your milk kesari to a bowl.
10. If you like cashews and raisins, you can fry them in ghee and add to it.
11. You can serve it hot or chilled.
