Methi Fish

Ingredients for Methi Fish:

1. Fish – 12 pieces

2. Salt and turmeric powder – As needed

3. Oil – As needed

4. Methi leaves (Fenugreek leaves) – ¼ cup

5. Salt – For taste

6. Onions – 1, chopped fine

7. Ginger – ½ inch piece, chopped

    Garlic – 6-8 cloves, chopped

    Green chillies – 2, end split

    Tomato – 1, chopped

How to prepare Methi Fish?

1. Marinate fish pieces using salt and turmeric for some time.

2. Deep fry fish pieces in oil. But don’t overcook.

3. Spread methi leaves in a plate and sprinkle salt water.

4. After 10-20 minutes, wash it well and squeeze water.

5. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions till they turn translucent.

6. Add ingredients no: 7 and sauté again.

7. Add methi leaves, close the lid and cook it.

8. When water content is fully absorbed, add salt and mix well.

9. When methi leaves are well cooked, add fish pieces.

10. Mix the contents well and put off the flame.
