Marble Pudding

Ingredients for Marble Pudding:

1. Maida – 1.25 cups

    Baking powder – 1.25 small spoons

    Salt – As required

2. Butter – 100 gm

    Powdered sugar – 100 gm

3. Egg – 2, beaten

4. Milk – Approximate ¼ cup

5. Vanilla essence – ½ small spoon

    Lemon skin peeled – A little

6. Coco powder – 2 big spoons

For sauce:

7. Sugar – ½ cup

    Coco – ½ cup

    Warm water – 1 cup

    Butter – 1 small spoon full

How to prepare Marble Pudding?

1. Blend ingredients no: 1.

2. Take butter and sugar in a bowl and mix it well.

3. Add beaten eggs slowly to it and mix again.

4. Add maida and milk in alternate fashion, little by little and slowly mix it to prepare soft batter.

5. Transfer this batter to two bowls.

6. In one bowl, add vanilla essence and lemon skin and mix it well.

7. In the second bowl, add coco powder and mix it well.

8. Take a container of size 1 litre and pour batter from each bowl as alternate layers.

9. Using a folk, gently create designs and give a marble effect to the batter.

10. Close it tightly using a lid and place it inside a steamer or pressure cooker without putting weight.

11. Cook for 1.5 hours till it’s done.

12. Mix together ingredients no: 7 to prepare the sauce and serve with marble pudding.
