Lebanese Fatayer
Ingredients for Lebanese Fatayer:
1. Maida – ½ cup
Yeast – 1 small spoon
Salt – As required
2. Oil – 3 big spoons
3. Onions – 1 big, chopped fine
4. Boneless chicken cut into square pieces – 1 cup
5. Arabic masala – 1 big spoon
Fresh cream – 50 milli
How to prepare Lebanese Fatayer?
1. Mix together ingredients no: 1 adding sufficient water and knead the dough similar to chapatti.
2. Allow it to rest for some time.
3. Heat oil and sauté onions.
4. Add chicken pieces, and mix it well.
5. Cook the chicken pieces and when it is done, add Arabic masala and fresh cream.
6. Mix the contents well and put off the flame. This chicken mixture is used as filling.
7. Make balls from dough and spread them into small round shapes.
8. Place filling on one side and fold the other side to get a crescent or half-moon shape.
9. Place them in a baking tray.
10. Pre-heat oven at 180 degree celsious and bake Lebanese Fatayers in oven for 10 minutes.
11. Serve hot.
