Kozhi Kanji (Chicken Congee)

Ingredients for Kozhi Kanji (Chicken Congee):

1. Ponni rice – 1 cup

    Onion – 1, chopped

    Ginger – 1 small piece, chopped

    Garlic – 2 cloves, chopped

    Boneless chicken – 300 gm

    Tomato – 1, chopped

    Shallots – 4

    Water – As needed

2. Chilli powder – 2 small spoons

    Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Fennel powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Garam masala powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Curry leaves – 1 big spoon

    Fenugreek – 1/4 small spoon

    Pepper – 1/4 small spoon

3. Coconut milk – 1 cup

    Salt – For taste

How to prepare Kozhi Kanji (Chicken Congee)?

1. Mix ingredients no: 1 together in a cooker and place in flame.

2. When rice boils add ingredients no: 2 and add water if needed extra.

3. Close the cooker and prepare the congee. Chicken should be well-cooked.

4. When pressure drops to zero, open the lid and add ingredients no: 3.

5. Mix it well and serve hot.
