Kashmiri Mushroom Curry

Ingredients for Kashmiri Mushroom Curry:

1. Mushroom cleaned and cut into pieces – 400 gm

2. Oil – 2 big spoons

3. Cumin seeds – ½ small spoon

4. Pepper crushed – ¼ small spoon

    Green cardamom – 4

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

5. Onions chopped – 1

6. Cumin powder – 1 small spoon

    Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

    Garam masala powder – 1/2 small spoon

7. Green chillies chopped fine – 1

    Garlic chopped – 2 cloves

    Ginger paste – 1 piece

8. Tomatoes – 4, chopped

9. Salt – For taste

    Coriander leaves chopped – 1 small spoon

How to prepare Kashmiri Mushroom Curry?

1. Heat oil in a frying pan and sputter cumin seeds.

2. Add ingredients no: 4 and fry for 2 minutes.

3. Add onions and sauté for 5 minutes, followed by ingredients no: 6 for 2 minutes.

4. Add ingredients no: 7 and sauté for 2 more minutes.

5. Add tomatoes and salt and allow the contents to boil.

6. Close the lid and cook in low flame for 5 minutes.

7. Add mushroom pieces and close the lid, and cook for 10 more minutes.

8. Take off mushroom curry from flame.

9. Decorate with coriander leaves.

10. Serve hot with bread, nan, perotta, chapatti etc.
