Fruit Crumble
Ingredients for Fruit Crumble:
- Apple after skin removed and cut into pieces – 200 gm
- Pine apple pieces – 200 gm
- Banana big (Ethakka/Nenthrapazham)– 200 gm
- Orange after removing seeds and skin – 200 gm
- Lemon juice – of ½ lemon
- Sugar – 100 gm
- Raisins without seeds – 50 gm
- Lemon skin scrapped – ½
- Vanilla essence – ½ small spoon
- Butter – 100 gm
- Cinnamon powder – 1 small spoon
How to prepare Fruit Crumble?
- Pre-heat oven in 180 degree
- Apply a little butter or oil to baking dish.
- Mix butter, maida and 50 gm sugar in a dish using finger tips and prepare toppings.
- Apply lemon juice to apple pieces to avoid colour change.
- Mix 50 gm sugar, raisins and scrapped lemon skin with these apple pieces.
- If you want extra flavour for apple, add a little more sugar, cinnamon powder and vanilla essence.
- Heat 3 big spoons of sugar in a pan and when it changes brown add ½ cup hot water and caramelize it.
- Add pine apple and banana pieces to it. Mix well and take it from flame.
- Mix apple pieces and orange and spread it in pudding dish along with the above sugar-fruit mixture.
- Spread topping on the top and bake for 45 minutes.
- When it turns golden colour take it from oven and decorate it using cream, custard or ice cream and serve.
