Dal – Wheat Payasam (Paripp – Gothambu Payasam)

Ingredients for Dal – Wheat Payasam (Paripp – Gothambu Payasam):

1. Coconut – 1.5

2. Green gram dal fried – 50 gm

    Broken wheat – 50 gm

    Brown rice broken (Champa rice) – 50 gm

3. Jaggery melted – 300 gm

    Ghee – 3 big spoons

4. Cardamom powder – 2 small spoons

5. Ghee – ¼ cup

6. Coconut pieces – 2 big spoons

   Raisins – 1 big spoon

   Cashews – 1 big spoon

How to prepare Dal – Wheat Payasam (Paripp – Gothambu Payasam)?

1. Extract 150 ml first milk, 300 ml second milk and 600 ml third milk from coconut.

2. Cook ingredients 2 together adding sufficient water.

3. Add melted jaggery and 3 big spoons of ghee to it and sauté the contents.

4. Add third extract of coconut milk and boil the contents.

5. When payasam thickens, add second extract of coconut milk and cook for some time.

6. When contents thicken, add thick coconut milk.

7. When payasam starts to boil, cardamom powder and put off the flame.

8. Heat ghee and fry raisins, cashews and coconut pieces.

9. Add these fried items to your payasam and mix well.
