Cumin Chicken (Jeeraka Kozhi)

Ingredients for Cumin Chicken (Jeeraka Kozhi):

1. Chicken cut into pieces – 1, full

2. Turmeric powder – ¾ tsp

3. Chilli powder – ½ tsp

4. Ginger-garlic crushed – 1.5 table spoons

5. Cumin paste – 2 table spoons

6. Shallots – 1 cup

7. Salt – For taste

8. Coconut oil – 1.5 table spoons

9. Coconut milk (thick) – ¾ cup

10. Pepper powder – 2 table spoons

11. Ghee – 1 table spoon

12. Shallots chopped lengthwise – ½ cup

How to prepare Cumin Chicken (Jeeraka Kozhi)?

1. Marinate chicken pieces using ingredients 2-5.

2. In cooker or non-stick pan, pour oil and sauté shallots.

3. Add chicken to it along with salt, close the lid and cook the contents.

4. When chicken is well cooked, add coconut milk and pepper powder.

5. Put off the flame.
