Chutney Fish
Ingredients for Chutney Fish:
1. Pomfred (Avoli) – 1, approximate 1.4 kg
2. Salt – For taste
Curry leaves – 2 or 3 stems
Green chillies – 3
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Oil – A little
2. Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Garlic – 3 cloves
Green chillies – 2
Lemon juice – ¼ cup
Coconut scrapped – 1 cup
Salt – For taste
How to prepare Chutney Fish?
1. Clean fish and remove water content completely.
2. Make deep cuts throughout fish body.
3. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 and marinate fish using it.
4. Make a smooth paste of ingredients no: 3.
5. Place the marinated fish on a hot tawa.
6. Cook both sides, till it is half done. Allow it to cool.
7. Marinate fish using ingredients no: 3.
8. Fill masala inside the deep cuts of fish.
9. Wrap the fish in banana leaf and use a banana fibre to tie it.
10. Steam cook for 20-30 minutes and serve hot.
