Chinese Congee

Ingredients for Chinese Congee:

1. Shallots chopped and fried – 2 big spoons

2. Green chillies chopped in round shapes – 1 big spoon

3. Celery chopped fine – 1 big spoon

4. Spring onion chopped fine – 1 big spoon

5. Ginger chopped thin lengthwise – 1 big spoon, mixed with one big spoon soya sauce

6. Dried fish (salted) – 50 gm, roasted and powdered

7. Egg – 2, scrambled

8. Water – 2 cups

9. Oats – 1 cup

How to prepare Chinese Congee?

1. Place ingredients 1 to 7 in small serving bowls.

2. Boil water and add oats.

3. When it turns thicken as porridge, put off the flame. But it should not be too thick.

4. Pour oats porridge in a big serving bowl and place inside a big serving plate.

5. Place small bowls inside the serving plate in a row and serve.

6. You can take items from small serving bowls, add to porridge and serve.
