Chicken Saag
Ingredients for Chicken Saag:
1. Green spinach – 250 gm
2. Oil – 2.5 tablespoons
3. Bay leaf – 2
Cloves, cardamom – 3 each
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
4. Onions chopped – 150 gm
5. Garlic chopped – 5 cloves
Green chilli chopped – 1
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Tomato chopped to pieces after removing skin – 2
6. Chicken breast – 400 gm, cut into pieces
Salt – For taste
7. Garam masala – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped – 2 tablespoons
How to prepare Chicken Saag?
1. Dip spinach in boiled water for a while.
2. Make a fine paste of spinach leaves.
3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 3.
4. Add onions and sauté again.
5. When onions turn brown, add ingredients no: 5 and sauté again.
6. Add chicken breast, salt and cook it for 3 minutes.
7. Add spinach and reduce flame.
8. Cook till chicken is done.
9. Add ingredients no: 7 and put off the flame.
